A couple of years ago, I noticed that while out shopping with my mom, I never saw models of ALL abilities promoted much in advertising. I started to notice this in the fashion and teen magazines as well. I did not understand why I was not seeing any diversity being represented in the year 2015. After all, we all shop at the same places, and I spend just as much money as everyone else keeping up on the latest trends. So, I decided that it was time to see a change. I decided that I wanted to encourage large companies to start using models of all abilities more in advertising. My mom and dad were very supportive of the idea, and we talked with our friend Jill Amsk who is a professional photographer here in Montana. She suggested that we do a photo shoot, and put the photos on social media to start getting the word out. The photo shoot was one of the funnest things I have ever done! I knew that I was cut out for modeling (either runway or print) but this photo shoot confirmed it for me. A couple days later, the very first photo that was released went viral on social media. It got over 18,000 likes on just one page. It was shared thousands of times around the world. The next thing I knew, I was getting calls to do some modeling around our State. In one short year, I had done several modeling shoots for 3 companies in Montana, as well as several fashion shows, graced the cover of a 5 State magazine, and was asked to go to Los Angeles, California and walk the runway for about 400 modeling agencies and talent scouts from around the world at the International Modeling and Talent Association Convention. I spent a little over a week there, walking the runways every day, showing my skills, talent and my personality. I think it is safe to say that it went VERY well! The support and encouragment was overwhelming. This was the week that absolutely confirmed to me, that not only was I ready to see a change, but so was the beauty industry as well. They were on their feet cheering for me the entire time. It truly is a time in my life that I will never forget. I got call backs from about 10 agencies. After visiting with them for 2 days, my parents and I decided that "The Firm L.A. Modeling and Talent" agency is who we wanted to sign with. They are a very well establised agency that is SAG-AFTRA franchised. They also fully believed in me and my mission 100%. That was that most important thing to me. I had to work with an agency who had the same vision as I did. I officially signed with them in January 2016. Believe me when I say, big things are going to happen. A change is not coming, it is already here!!!!!  You will find a list of all of the wonderful projects that I have done over the last year under the "RESUME" heading. Thank you all for supporting me and individuals of ALL abilities!
